What Happened to Your Calm?
Updated: Sep 6

There was probably a time when you didn't have to think about being calm.
You simply were.
You could sit quietly without feeling like you should be doing something.
You could enjoy a moment without thinking about what came next.
You could breathe without even noticing that you were breathing.
But somewhere along the way, life became fuller.
Work.
Family.
Responsibilities.
Expectations.
Messages.
Notifications.
Appointments.
To-do lists.
And the endless stream of things asking for our attention.
And somewhere amongst all of that, we can quietly lose touch with ourselves.
We become so accustomed to being busy that stillness now feels unfamiliar.
We fill the silence.
We keep ourselves occupied.
We move from one thing to the next without stopping long enough to ask:
How am I really feeling?
Not “I'm fine.”
Not “I'm just tired.”
Not “I've got a lot on at the moment.”
But really…are you?
When was the last time you stopped long enough to truly check in with yourself?
Not what you need to do.
Not who needs you.
Not what comes next.
Just you.
Maybe it's time for you to stop and pause.....
